Announcement: Shimano Curado 200E7

Shimano Curado 200E7

Shimano Curado 200E7The Shimano Curado 200E7 beats all reels in its class, hands down, in every aspect of our on-the-water tests.

The Shimano Curado 200E7 was recently redesigned from the ground up in a ground-breaking effort to make it smoother, smaller, lighter, more comfortable to use and just plain better all around. Did Shimano succeed? Read on to find out.

Though the Shimano Curado 200E7 was already an extremely popular, reputable reel within the bass fishing market, the redesign reinforced its place in the field as the reel of choice for serious fishermen and set a new standard by which other reels in its class are judged.

Why Should You Buy The Shimano Curado 200E7?

Before buying my first redesigned Curado 200E7, I had actually bought a comparable Abu Garcia reel. The Abu reel was nice, but it had some issues. After using it on the water and not being able overcome its problems, I returned it and bought the Curado. I have been sold on them ever since.

And let me tell you right up front that I’m an ultra-experienced baitcaster user, not a newbie. I’ve been using baitcasting reels for well over 20 years. So the problems I experienced with the Abu reel weren’t user error.

I actually wanted to buy something other than the Shimano Curado 200E7, which is why I bought the Abu Garcia reel to begin with. But as it turned out, the Abu reel just didn’t satisfy me and I ended up buying my first Shimano Curado 200E7 for that very reason.

So here we are quite a bit later and I now own several of the Shimano Curado 200E7 reels. Anytime I need a new reel, I don’t even bother shopping around any longer. I simply buy another Curado.

If you’re not fishing with the Shimano Curado 200E7 reels, you’re missing out on true baitcasting reel performance.
